If any of these Terms (including exclusions), in whole or in part, are found to be unlawful, void or for any other reason unenforceable, that exclusion or part thereof shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the other exclusion(s) or part(s) thereof in question.
4. The Group Leader and the Principals Contract
The group leader (or lead name on the booking), on behalf of all members of the party, will be bound by the Principal’s contract and booking conditions, which governs all aspects of the holiday. Zoom Travel Ltd. acts as a booking agent on behalf of the Principal. The group leader is strongly urged to refer to the Principal’s current website or brochure before a booking is made. If you would like a copy of these, you can request this at any time.
The group leader is responsible for the full cost of the holiday and therefore must have the authority from every member of the group to pay for the holiday on their behalf. This will include any subsequent changes to holiday costs if applicable, for example any cancellation charges or add-ons. Any refunds will be made directly to the group leader’s bank account.
We require full details of the group leader, including title, name (as per passport), full contact details (address, phone numbers and email address) and any other personal details that may be requested by the holiday/tour operator and/or airline. These details will be used as the primary source of contact during the enquiry, booking and pre-holiday process.
It is the group leader's responsibility to notify us in writing of any change to their personal contact details.
We only act on the instruction of the group leader and therefore, following a booking, will only communicate with them. We will not change any aspect of the booking by verbal instruction only – any amends will only be made following written confirmation from the group leader from the group leader’s registered email. They must inform the other members of the party of any amendments to the booking, costs or travel arrangements.
It is the group leader’s responsibility to collect all group names and send these and any specific requests (for e.g. dietary requirements) to us by the group leader’s registered email. It is also the group leader’s responsibility to ensure that each passenger on the booking has a valid passport, the correct visa requirements and suitable travel insurance.
On booking, the group leader agrees that all relevant personal information for each group member may be forwarded to the appropriate holiday/tour operator.
5. Holiday Prices Advertised
The prices displayed on this website are per person per week, in UK pounds Sterling (£) and are based on full occupancy of the lowest priced stateroom available, unless otherwise stated. Additional stateroom, flight or other supplements may be added on, or any group discounts, special offer deals or other reductions may be subtracted from the basic holiday costs, which you will be advised of at a suitable time during your enquiry.
The advertised price does not include return flights and/or port transfers; the travel arrangements such as flights, transfers, excursions, drink packages, etc. are subject to change. You will be advised of the current price and facilities that you wish to book before your booking is confirmed and documentation issued.
The prices displayed on this website or quoted in any verbal communication or email correspondence are indicative only and may change at any time until we send you the Principal's invoice.
The price quoted for any holiday is based only on the information that you have given us and therefore we cannot be held responsible for any exclusions or omissions due to lack of information provided by you.
Certain holiday/tour operators collect a small local tourist tax per person, charged by some resorts, which are usually payable to your accommodation hosts during the holiday. These may not be included on the final holiday booking invoice.
We reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices.
In occasional circumstances we may apply an admin fee to a booking.
6. Childs/Infants Prices
We do not generally advertise child prices, as the definition of a ‘child’ varies depending on the cruise line company. The age of any child travelling, on the disembarkation day must be stated in order for us to quote correctly. If this information provided is incorrect the child price may increase, including any associated supplements, even following full holiday payment.
Please note that certain cruise lines may impose age restrictions for the entire voyage or specific activities on board or ashore.
Any Guest under the age of 18 who is not travelling with their own parent or guardian (but is for example, accompanied by grandparents, other relatives or friends), must have a signed parental or guardian consent form, signed by both parents or guardians, or a certified explanation if the consent of only one parent or guardian is available, which authorizes travel and medical treatment in the event of an emergency. The original signed form (a copy is not acceptable) must be presented to the Cruise Line representative at the pier during check-in, along with a copy of both parents' driving license or passport. Failure to do so may result in the Guest being refused boarding. In this case, no refund will be provided and no expenses, costs or other sums of any description will be paid.
Ifyoucruise cannot be held responsible if you provide incorrect information regarding the age of the children at the time of booking. Depending on the cruise line and the itinerary, guests are considered as children when they are under21 years old at the time of embarkation. In such cases, guest under 21 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone in their stateroom who is at least 21 years old. The consumption of alcohol may also be prohibited. Contact us for more information regarding the age policy of the cruise line.
7. Special Offers and Discounts
Special offers or discounts cannot usually be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. They are subject to availability and may change or be withdrawn at any time without notice. Additional stateroom or other supplements may apply.
Any special offers and/or discounts that may apply to a holiday booking must be arranged prior to booking and be validated in the group leader's booking confirmation email sent from us. Special offers and/or discounts cannot be applied following a booking confirmation.
8. Group Discount
Maximum group discount can only be offered if the group leader pays for the holiday in a one-off payment. We can collect payment from different members of the group, but additional charges may be made for separate payments.
Please be aware that if you originally benefited from a group discount and your group size decreases from the original, the group discount may be affected. Group discount is calculated using the group size at the time of the original booking being made. Adding members to a group may not necessarily qualify that group for any extra group discount.
9. Holiday Prices
Very occasionally, and usually only in exceptional circumstances, the cost of a holiday can increase following a booking, subject to the Principal’s terms and conditions. This is completely beyond our control but you will be informed of any increase prior to your holiday start date. We are unable to refund the difference in cost of a holiday if this is the case.
All holidays purchased via us are governed by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. These refer to refunds, travel date changes or cancellations NOT being made free of charge, following a holiday booking. All cancellations to any holiday booking are subject to the Principal’s terms and booking conditions.
10. Holiday Payments
You will be required to pay a deposit or make a full payment for your holiday when booking. The time limit in which you have to pay is variable and depends on the cruise line. This will be notified to you in your quote.
If airlines tickets are issued at the time of booking, they have to be paid in full.
Generally speaking, the final balance has to be paid 65 days prior departure date. If the booking is made less 65 days prior departure, full payment is due.
For some World Tour or Grands Voyages, the balance is due 180days before departure date.
Payments can be made over the phone by debit or credit card during the booking process or by bank transfer.
There are no surcharges on any card payments when paying your deposit. We do not accept credit card payments for final balances.Final balances can be paid by debit card or bank transfer. Note thatour membership of ABTA means that you are fully protected when paying by bank transfer. Any special bank charges incurred such as foreign transfer costs, must be covered by you.
We can collect deposit or final payment from different payment cards, but there may be an admin charge of £10 per additional card used.
Failure to pay your balance by the specified deadline we reserve the right to:
a) charge £5 per day for every adult payment overdue (plus any additional admin charges for further reminder notices issued) and/or
b) cancel the holiday with full loss of deposit.
11. Dietary Requirements
Any dietary requirements must be discussed with our staff before a booking is made. Some dietary requirements may not be available or incur an additional charge. Any dietary requirement will be confirmed with you at the time of booking and will be noted on your confirmation invoice; it is your responsibility to ensure that any dietary requests are correctly recorded on the booking confirmation email and the invoice. We cannot be held responsible for the lack of provision of a specific requirement, or any charges made by the cruise line or by the holiday/tour operator. The inclusion of the special request on your confirmation invoice or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met.
12. Special Requests
If you or any member of your group have any special requests or require a particular facility or service that is either important or essential to the enjoyment of your holiday, then this needs to be requested in writing (with full details) and confirmed by us before the booking is made. We cannot guarantee that your request will be met and we will have no liability if this is not met but we will strive to ensure that our suppliers can meet your request.
Please note that some cruise lines have a strict policy in respect to allowing pregnant women to travel once she has entered a specific stage of pregnancy (typically 24 weeks or beyond at any point in the cruise). Guests must inform us prior to travel.
13. Fitness to travel
Passengers are encouraged to discuss the advisability of travel with their personal physician.
For some type of cruises (mainly expeditions cruises) a medical form is required. This medical form must be filled out in full, honestly and accurately and disclose all medical history and information. It is your responsibility to advise the cruise line immediately if your medical situation changes after submitting the medical forms.
Due to the nature of travel by sea and the ports visited, the availability of medical care onboard the ship and in ports of call may be limited or delayed and medical evacuation may not be possible from the ship while at sea or from every location to which the ship sails. We strongly advise our guest to have an adequate supply of all medicines and medical supplies needed as they may not be available on board. This should be sufficient to cover per and post travel and any delays traveler may suffer beyond the length of the cruise.
All medicines and all medical or surgical services furnished on board are accepted at the traveler’s sole risk and expense.
Please note that some cruise lines (specially river cruises) do not have medical doctors on board. Ocean-going cruises that carry more than 100 persons on board traveling to international waters have facilities, staffing, equipment and procedures for medical infirmaries on cruise ships. Please contact us for more information.
The cruise line reserves the right to deny passage (or boarding) to any passenger on reasonable medical ground or disembark any passenger at any port of call. The passenger shall have no claim against Ifyoucruise for refund, compensation loss or damages of passenger, including but not limited to any expenses incurred by passenger for accommodations or repatriation.
14. Ships description
All our ship descriptions, excursions, catering, drink packages, etc are provided by holiday/tour operator.
These are updated, amended or changed regularly and we therefore take every reasonable care to ensure that the information published is accurate. We cannot accept liability for any errors or omissions in any documentation or the accuracy of the descriptions, except where those errors are made by ourselves.
15. Facilities / Services / Amenities
Certain advertised facilities, services or amenities (such as TV, internet access, hot tubs, excursions etc.) cannot be guaranteed to be fully functioning or accessible. Occasionally, some facilities may be temporarily unavailable, or their use may be restricted due to operational reasons. As we are the booking agent only, and your holiday is run and/or managed by the holiday/tour operator, you need to refer to their terms and conditions regarding this.
Shore excursions are operated by the cruise line or by independent operators selected by the cruise line company. Ifyoucruise cannot be held responsible for any damages, delayed, injuries, death and/or changes in itineraries.
16. Excursions
Excursions, optional activities or other tours that you may choose to book or pay for whilst you are on the trip are not part of your contracted arrangements with us. For any excursion, optional activity or other tour that you book, your contract will be with the operator of the excursion, optional activity or tour and not with us. Although we may recommend certain suppliers to you have included the optional activities in brochures and on the website to illustrate your choice, this is not a recommendation by us to take part and we are not responsible for the provision of the excursion, optional activity or tour or for anything that happens during the course of its provision by the operator. Some excursions, optional activities or other tours may contain an element of risk or require a good level of physical fitness, and, if in doubt, you should make direct inquiries with the local provider before deciding to buy and check that you are covered by your travel insurance policy. If you are in any doubt about whether your travel insurance policy covers the activity, you should contact your insurer.
17. Prohibited items
The list of prohibited items varies among cruise line companies. Please, contact us for more information.
Additionally, we strongly advise our guests to review this list before boarding, Ifyoucruise cannot be held responsible for reimbursement or indemnity if items are destroyed by the captain or surrendered to the authorities.
18. Changes in itineraries

Such events may include, but are not limited to weather conditions, medical emergency, war, threat of war or civil commotions, riots, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, airport and port regulations and closures, technical transportation problems, maintenance to vessels. Ifyoucruise is unable to accept liability or pay compensation in the occurrence of such an event.
19. Photos, Images and Floor Plans
The photos, images and deck plans used on this website have been provided by the supplier of the holiday, and occasionally from our own photo library. We aim to accurately represent the ship with the help of the most recent photos, but due to recent refurbishments or re-designs these may not be an exact representation of the accommodation. We cannot therefore be held liable for any information acquired regarding any facilities, layout, design or décor from the use of the photos alone.
20. Booking Confirmation
Please note that holiday details or prices that you may have been sent prior to booking at an earlier stage of your enquiry may have changed without notice; the onus is on the group leader to check all details are as expected when the booking is made. Only those persons named at the time of booking, or subsequently advised, can occupy the accommodation.
21. Travel Insurance, Passport, Health certificate and Visa Requirements
It is the group leader's responsibility to ensure that each party member has the correct travel insurance, a valid passport and relevant travel documents for your destination.
We provide general information about the passport and visa requirements for your trip. Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. Neither we nor the principal(s) or supplier(s) accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. Note that these requirements may change between booking and departure. Most countries now require passports to be valid for at least 6 months after your return date.
Up to date travel advice can be obtained from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development office, Visit:https://travelaware.campaign.gov.uk/.
Non-British passport older, including other EU nationals should obtain up to date advice on entry, passport, visa, health and immigration requirements from the Embassy, High Commission or Consulate of your destination or country(ies) through which you travel.
We strongly recommend having a travel insurance policy in place as soon as you have booked your holiday.
The correct travel insurance is essential in order for you and each member of the group to travel on a ship. Please read carefully the holiday/tour operator’s terms and conditions on the subject of travel insurance. If you travel without insurance you may be in breach of your tour operator's Ts&Cs. We cannot accept any responsibility for you in the event that you or any member of your party travels without adequate insurance. Please be aware that we cannot advise you on your travel insurance policy.
22. Flight Times and Flight Details
If the holiday is shown to include flights in the price, then these are based on flights departing from the specified UK airport. All flight details given in any correspondence are subject to availability and to be used for guidance only.
Even following a booking confirmation, any flight times listed are provisional and are subject to change. The provisional scheduled times will be shown on your booking invoice; however, the confirmed flight times will be those shown on your tickets, which will be dispatched to you approximately 7 days before the start of your holiday. We will check these but it is ultimately your responsibility to check the confirmed flight times as issued on your tickets. Flight times may change even after tickets have been issued; if this is the case we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of any change. Flight times given are local times to the country of departure and arrival.
We cannot guarantee the airline or the destination airport as this information is subject to change at any time even following a holiday booking.
Any change to the flight details does not entitle you to any refunds or the right to cancel or change the holiday arrangements without paying the normal charges.
23. Passenger Details
We require full details for all group members, which include title, first name and surname, date or birth, dietary requirements and any other personal details that may be requested by the holiday/tour operator or airline. The group leader is required to provide all group names and associated group particulars as required, by email. Completing this by email ensures that the holiday operator receives the exact information as written by the group leader. In some circumstances the group leader may have to complete a tour operator’s booking form.
24. Name Change / Late Names
Group member information is used, amongst other things, for the issuing of tickets. Therefore if any group member information provided is incorrect, needs amending or is late, a charge will be applied. The same applies to any name change following a booking.
25. Change of Accommodation
Very occasionally, the holiday booked is withdrawn by the holiday/tour operator. In these circumstances an alternative holiday or a refund may be offered according to their terms and conditions. If a refund is offered, and is the chosen option, then we will strive to find you alternative holiday arrangements using our other suppliers. Zoom Travel Ltd. cannot accept any liability for any additional costs incurred due to the change of the holiday details.
26. Cancelled Holidays
All holidays purchased via ifyoucruise.com are done so under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. These state that refunds, date changes or cancellations cannot be made free of charge, following a holiday booking.
If group members or holidays do need to be cancelled, the request must be made in writing by the group leader only; you will then be advised of the full cancellation costs prior to this being actioned. Cancellations and costs are based on the tour operator's terms and conditions. Please note, that there will also be an ifyoucruise.com cancellation fee of £25 per person cancelling, on top of any charges levied by the tour operator. Please also refer to the above paragraph in relation to group discount being potentially affected. We cannot accept verbal cancellations, nor can we accept cancellations from anyone other than the group leader.
If your booking includes scheduled flights, the tour operator's cancellation charges may include full cancellation costs for the flights.
For example, if you have paid a deposit of £800 but the total cost of the flights on your booking is £1,500, the tour operator's Terms & Conditions may mean that you are liable to pay the difference. In this example, if cancelling your holiday after paying the deposit but BEFORE paying your final balance, you would be required to pay the additional £700 (i.e. the difference between the deposit paid to date and total cost of the scheduled flights) upon cancellation.
Similarly, some tour operators may levy a cancellation charge equal to a set percentage of your holiday cost. Occasionally, this cost can exceed the amount of the deposit paid at the time of booking. In this instance, upon cancellation of your booking you may be required by the tour operator to pay the difference between your deposit and their set cancellation percentage i.e. 25%.
If you are unsure as to whether your booking may be affected by this, PLEASE ASK your sales consultant at the time of placing your booking.
27. External Links

Depending on the cruise line and the itinerary, guests are considered as children when they are under 21 years old at the time of embarkation.
